AUSSIE MAJORS STREAMED ON THE INTERNET - posted 8 July 2010
Findon have now upgraded their computer and connected high speed Broadband to allow live streaming to the Internet of major meetings. The Brian O'Neill Memorial was the first to be streamed live to the Net and proved to be very popular.
A weekly Cycle Speedway programme will also be streamed in the near future and will feature the sport's top riders plus clips of the major events at all clubs. Wherever possible we will try and video the Majors at all the tracks and will feature these clips on the weekly show. We will let everyone know when the weekly show starts via Spokesman-online, Cycle Sports News and via Findon new website www.cyclespeedway.asn.au
THOUSAND DOLLAR PRIZE - posted 20 May 2010
Two matches have been completed in the Aussie Night League with the rider depleted Outlaws going down in both.
Round one saw the Bandits winning by 10 points and last Tuesday night it was the current Premiers Bush Rangers turn to dominate beating them by 24 points. Unfortunately the Outlaws were allocated three top riders with none of them fronting up against the Bush Rangers.
After discussing the situation with the senior riders of the teams, it appears that we have to do a bit of 'shuffling' to make the teams more even as there is now $1,000 up for grabs which has been generously sponsored by Richard Makepeace of Makepeace Plastering. (With this amount I'm sure that this is sufficient to get the whole winning team plastered for a few weeks!)
Lee Collins (Bush Rangers) has volunteered to 'jump ship' and join the Outlaws which will help the situation.
The Night League is a brilliant competition, but, like any other competition, it requires dedication and commitment by the riders. The 'commitment' is racing in thtree matches over an eight-week period.
The next match is at Findon on Wednesday 2 June between Bandits and Bush Rangers. Brad Hoppo has volunteered to ref this match.

"They anticipate 10,000 will attend over the two days" Nick thresher told Spokesman. "There is also a website called 'AusBike'" he added. "Take a look at www.ausbike.com.au/ "
