Symanski.  The disagreement between the two riders came after Symanski, coach of the Polish national team, named the five riders that will represent Poland in the European Cup of Nations.  Those five riders did not include Radek Handke who is less than happy with the decision.

The Polish team will be Marcin Symanski, Marciek Ganczarek, Mateus Szymczak, Greg Gluchowski and Lukasz Nowacki.  Not the ideal preparations for the host nation ahead of the biggest event of the 2010 season.

Year 2010 brings the biggest changes in Polish cycle speedway to date. The powerpack from Wroclaw, 2005 World numbers one, two and three Marcin Szymanski, Maciej Ganczarek and Radek Hndke are changing clubs. It is not known yet where they will be going, but Szawer Leszno announced that they will not be riding for them in 2010. There is a strong rumour going on that they will be joining newly promoted Zielona Gora club.

Dariusz Pilas, 2009 world finalist, is also moving away from the Leszno club and is strongly linked with his Sheffield team mate Pawel Kozlowski  and his club Gniezno. Last season's Premier League most improved rider, Piotr Jamroszczyk is swapping places with them, and will be Leszno's heat leader, and he is not alone. A long wait is over and Damian Wozny is returning to Leszno after some years of rebellion. Damian said that it was his intention to come home, where he lives and where he won the most of his numerous awards.

On the national side, the Polish Federation is thinking for the future. They have had funding from the government for the youngsters, and first time ever, there was a national training camp.  The best under-23 riders from all over the country went on a 12 day training camp in the middle of Polish Tatry mountains just before Christmas. Polish national coach, Marcin Szymanski was there and he made sure, that
the trip was eventful. His professional approach to sport is well known and it is hoped that the youngsters will adapt it and defend the European Championships in Poland this year.
